Lois Matthews Coletti is a watercolor artist, knitter, mother of two and grandmother (Nana) of six.  From September of 2004 until October 10, 2006, she cared daily for her dear husband Louis R. Coletti as he battled pancreatic cancer.  Louis fought valiantly until his last moments as Lois stayed by his side even as he took his last breath.  Within a few months of this loss,  Lois has expressed herself through poetry and watercolor.    After recovering from the initial  grief, Lois has found renewed strength thanks to her faith in God , the support of friends and family, and her loving memories of  Louis.  She is now resuming an active life in her church choir, creative writing group, the Upper Hudson Valley Watercolor Society, teaching a class at church and regular water workouts at the Y.  Her daughters, grandchildren, extended family and friends continue to be a source of strength and encouragement as she enters a new phase in life.  All who love and care about Ms. Coletti are excited to watch her spread her butterfly wings as she colors our often gray world through her paintings, creative writing and childlike sense of  awe at life's beauty.
